Nearly everyone I speak to who walks sites for a living tells me a version of the same thing. The walk is the part they are good at. The write-up is the part that takes their evenings.

An hour on site becomes a night at the desk. Sorting a few hundred photos, retyping rough notes, and reconstructing from memory a judgement you already made hours earlier, while you were standing in front of the thing. The expertise is in the walk. The time goes to the transcription. That is the wrong way around.

Medicine worked this out first. Ambient scribes now sit in on the consult, listen, and hand the clinician a drafted note before the next patient is in the room. The doctor reads it, corrects it, signs it. The judgement never left the professional. Only the typing did. It was adopted fastest by one of the most liability-conscious professions there is, which tells you something about how the pattern is built.

The built world has the same shape and almost none of the tooling. It is also a harder capture problem than a consult. The evidence is visual rather than spoken, you are moving through rooms and levels, your hands are full, and the site is loud. So I do not think the answer is a dictation app pointed at a building. A walkthrough is the footage and the words you said while shooting it, together. Read either one without the other and you lose what the walk meant. Sully is built around treating them as one thing.

Two things I want to be plain about, because they are the ones that matter when something goes wrong.

Sully drafts. It does not sign. Ours is not a product that hands you a finished report. It hands you a grounded draft, with every line traceable to the frame and the words behind it, so that checking it is fast and honest. You review it, you correct it, you sign it, and you remain the author of record. Any tool in this category that offers you something sign-ready is offering you a liability, not a saving.

The record is yours. Not a rented view of your own work. The walks you capture stay viewable and searchable even if you stop paying us, because a site record is one of the few files that gets more valuable with age, and it is worth nothing if it lives somewhere you can be locked out of.
